StarCom21 Live Scanner Feed

Our StarCom21 feed covers two trunked radio systems - Motorola's StarCom21 digital (P25) radio system, and the ClearTalk analog system.

The name StarCom21 comes from STAtewide Radio COMmunications for the 21st century. StarCom is owned by Motorola and leased to the state. It's used by the Illinois State Police for all their operations, and by many other state agencies, i.e. ITTF, MABAS, IDPH, etc. We monitor 4 separate tower sites (located in 2 counties), which provides us a wide array of traffic from the central Illinois area.

ClearTalk is owned by a group of electric cooperatives who use the system for their daily operations. Additional users are provided access to the system for a monthly fee. We monitor two of their tower sites (located in 2 counties).

The radio providing the feed is a Radio Shack PRO-197.
